The Fraxel® laser will help you to achieve smoother and younger looking skin. It can improve the skin’s tone and texture, reduce wrinkles around the eyes, and is the gold standard in improving the appearance of surgical and acne scars. Brown spots, due to sun exposure and melasma (appearing with pregnancy) can also be targeted during a Fraxel treatment. Fraxel treatment stimulates the body’s own natural healing process which replaces damaged skin with fresh, glowing, and healthy skin.
Dermatology Partners, Inc. offers both the Fraxel re:store™ and the Fraxel re:pair™. Our physicians will work with you to decide which laser is appropriate for you and your treatment goals. |

The GentleLASE system is used to remove hair on the face, legs, arms, underarms, chest, back, and the bikini line. The laser emits a beam of light that passes through the skin into the hair follicle where it is absorbed. The laser energy is then transformed into heat, destroying the hair follicle, but leaving the surrounding skin intact. By delivering light energy to many hair follicles simultaneously, lasers can quickly and effectively treat large areas.
Most areas require approximately 10 treatments. However, the number of treatments required for optimal long-term benefits depends on hair thickness, the area treated and your hair’s growth cycle. Not all hairs actively grow at the same time so multiple treatments are necessary to destroy most of the hair follicles in a given area.
In most cases, laser hair removal can permanently reduce the amount of hair in treated areas. However, it cannot prevent new hairs from growing. Therefore, touch ups may be needed periodically. |

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy rejuvenates the skin by fading age spots, improving skin texture, and reducing redness. IPL uses short bursts of bright light, emitted from a flash-lamp, to treat skin on the face, neck, chest, arms, hands, and legs. Most conditions require a series of 3 treatments spaced 3–4 weeks apart. |
 |
Laser Genesis skin rejuvenation improves the skin’s overall appearance by refining texture and tone, reducing pore size, smoothing wrinkles, fading scars, decreasing diffuse redness, and stimulating collagen growth within the dermis. Results from Laser Genesis accumulate after each treatment and collagen production continues well after the last procedure.
Patients usually require between 4 and 6 treatments for optimal results. Initial results are subtle, but over time you will notice a change in your skin’s appearance. Laser Genesis is particularly effective in combination with other treatments, including chemical peels. |

The Pearl procedure is a non-invasive procedure that works to resurface the outermost layer of an individual’s skin. The procedure improves the appearance of sun-damaged skin, and treats texture and skin tone. During the treatment Pearl removes a portion of the epidermis with a controlled thermal effect while it simultaneously sends heat to the deeper layers of the skin to stimulate longer-term collagen growth. |

The Titan™ laser enhances a youthful and healthy appearance without surgery, recovery time, or injections. The laser has been successfully used to firm and tighten loose skin on the forehead, along the jaw line, under the eyes, on the hands, and on the abdomen.
Using light energy to stimulate new collagen growth deep beneath the skin's surface, Titan produces a more youthful appearance with fewer lines and firmer skin. It is common to have two or three treatments over the course of several months. |

From tiny spider veins to deep blue reticular veins, this vascular laser treats blood vessels on the face and legs. Once a vessel is treated, blood flow is redirected to veins deeper below your skin’s surface.
The number of treatments necessary depends on the quantity, color, and size of the vessels being targeted. Most patients note significant improvement within 2-6 weeks of treatment. However, your final results may not be apparent for several months. Over time, new veins may appear, and they can be treated as well. |

This laser reduces redness on the face and neck and treats age spots, face and leg veins, scars, stretch marks, port wine stain birthmarks, and angiomas. VBeam® treatments are safe and effective and have been used successfully by dermatologists since the 1980s.
The number of treatments required depends on the desired outcome, the extent of redness, and the area being treated. For facial vessels, 1-2 treatments may be required, whereas more advanced stages of rosacea may require 4 to 5 visits. Treatments can be performed every 4 to 6 weeks. |

The Smoothbeam® laser is used to treat acne, acne scars and aging skin. It delivers laser energy through the skin surface to gently stimulate collagen production. As new collagen forms, it softens the appearance of wrinkles and aging skin. Smoothbeam treatment can also reduce the number of acne lesions.
Smoothbeam is safe, effective and works on all skin types. The number of treatments required depends on the condition being treated, and the skin area being treated. Typically, patients require 4 to 6 treatments performed at one month intervals. |

The KTP laser is commonly used to treat blood vessels and brown spots on the face, neck, and hands. Most patients require 2 to 3 treatments to achieve maximal results. |

BLU-U® Light therapy treats Actinic Keratoses (AKs) also known as “sun spots” that most often appear on areas exposed to UV light, such as the face, scalp, ears, neck, hands and arms.
In this two-step treatment, a topical solution called Levulan® is applied to the skin. This solution makes the treated area sensitive to light. The BLU-U® device is then used to treat the affected areas.
Usually three to five treatments are administered over the course of six months. In most cases, BLU-U® Light therapy can destroy actinic keratoses. However, it cannot prevent new ones from forming, and therefore additional treatments may be needed. |
